Cristiane Domenici
Cristiane Domenici, brazilian native of São Paulo, studied dancing at Escola of Bailado Nice Leite. For four years, she participated on the Festival de Dança de Joinville interpreting choreographies going from ballets of the classic répertoire to the dance jazz. She also has participated at the international Congress for Dancing in Rio de Janeiro where she studied in particular with Azari Plissetski.
Then from 1987 she pursued her training within the Ballet Ismaël Guiser, in São Paulo. She then continued her training at the Rosella Hightower’s Center of International Dance, in France. She stayed there 3 years then joined the Jeune Ballet International de Cannes, under direction of Edward Cook, for a period of one year.
She was then hired by Roland Petit at the National Ballet of Marseille. There she pursued her career, for six years, supervised by Roland Petit and the ballet master Raymond Franchetti. She participated in tours all over the world, interpreting major works with a repertoire encompassing diverse styles, and collaborating with the biggest names in the dance industry.
Afterward, she continued her career by participating in various galas in particular in Monte Carlo, Cannes and Opio, before joining the production of the Veuve Joyeuse at the Grand Théâtre de Tours.
In parallel, she obtained the State Diploma for Dance Teacher in Aix-en-Provence and specialized at the highest level in techniques for Pilates and GYROTONIC® whom she will teach to dancers of great renown.
In 1997, she trained for Pilates Method with Alan Herman, in London. She also trained with Mejo Wiggins, in Rome, and several famous people of the Pilates discipline such as Kathy Grant, Lolita San Miguel and many others.
In 2005, she received her training in GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® from Pietro Gagliardi, in Rome. At one point in her carrier, she suffered wounds such as cervical hernias, scoliosis and had an injurie of fatigue fracture of lumbar vertebra. That is when her practice of Pilates and GYROTONIC® helped heal herself and reach her highest level of performance.
She has been teaching workshops as Pilates & Injuries at Pilates Squared Studio owned by Caron Bosler in London, and Scoliosis and Initial Evaluation Class at Studio Pilates de Cannes in France.
She is, today, the director and trainer in the Studio Pilates de Cannes® and teach these disciplines also in Naples, Italy.
She is a fully PMA certified teacher (Pilates Method Alliance), she is also a Teacher Training Commission member of the FPMP (Fédération des Professionnels de la Méthode Pilates) and finally she is a member of the ADMR Dance Medicine and Research.
Now, she manages her own Teacher Training Course, Pilates Évolution®, approved by the FPMP. She is a Pré-trainer in GYROTONIC® level 1.
